I was probably the only opposing voice in the thread of the Dutch forum.
My proposal to use a landcover tag was rejected as it is not rendered.
Village green is translated literally in Dutch as gemeentegroen
(village = gemeente, green=groen), which is just any small patch of
grass, bushes, flowers, trees inside a town near a road.
This shows how an well-defined word in English gets different
meanings due to translation.
So I'm glad to hear more voices here that appose the change in
definition of village green.
