this was closed as duplicate, so they are aware there is an issue. In the discussion the only argument (by Nakaner, a rail enthusiast) is that there are 3 different legally relevant areas for train stations in Germany, so the German railway community has decided not to map any of them but use a node instead. Seems logical to you?
