[Tagging] tagging two former church locations, with the same name but unrelated to each other

I have seen this is tagged amenity=graveyard and landuse=cemetery, IMHO it’s likely not a cemetery, judging by the name.

different objects in OSM, same name tag. There’s no problem, besides maybe other mappers thinking there is something fishy

you should/could add the start_date tag. Enhancing the name doesn’t seem right, but it could go into the description tag as well.
