(First, that's a discussion for osmand or carto; the tag is fine even if
renderers do something unwanted.)


In the US, nursing home is basically for people who need skilled
nursing, which means one or more of
  unable to self-transfer

  need an nurse to administer medications (anything beyond someone
  putting pills in front of you)

  cognitively impaired

so while there are people with walkers, the notion that nursing home and
disability are very related is really how it is.

It could be that the US word "nursing home" and what you mean (UK?) are
different.

We also have "assisted living", where a cane or walker is more typical,
not needing a nurse, and lower levels of cognitive impairment.  There a
person/cane icon is probably more appropriate.
