In my opinion, amenity=drinking_water should be abandoned. There are
more descriptive tags for the features amenity=drinking_water is used
for:

  * man_made=drinking_fountain
  * amenity=fountain
  * man_made=water_well
  * man_made=water_tap
  * natural=spring
