I would hope people are careful to check that what appears
to be a description isn't actually the name. People are not
very inventive. I've mapped a bungalow called "The
Bungalow" (yes, that's its actual name). I've mapped
several former school buildings called "The Old School"
and/or "Yr Hen Ysgol" (Welsh for "The Old School") and
those are their actual names. And a mill pond called
"Mill Pond." And a bandstand in Netpool Park which
shows up in some council documents as "Netpool
Bandstand," although that could just have been
short for "the bandstand in Netpool Park" rather
than an official name.
OTOH, an example posted here several days ago
had many houses in a Romance-language country
all named "Casa." Those were definitely wrong.
One of those houses might, conceivably, be named
"Casa" but not several streets where every house
in them were called "Casa."
So please don't decide a name looks like a description
therefore it IS a description and can be deleted. Check
first. Because the house painted red and named "Red
House" may actually be named "Red House" (or
"Ty Coch" which is the Welsh equivalent).
