Yes, it is owned, but as an joint-stock company self-contained. Yes,
there schould be some officials from the history as a previous authority.
But also the market share of privates are grow up.... :D

And Hermes is in Germany an postal service provider, not an courier
service provider. Postal services include mailing letters, but not
exclusively. (Thats the legal in Germany.)
And yes Hermes also operates as an curier and an logistican. But
Deutsche Post/´DHL does that too... Sending parcels as parcel post ist
the normal use of this post partners in Germany.
