[Tagging] Flood prone areas - link to measurement stations

Hello,

There are a few tags already in use for flood-prone areas (see
https://taginfo.openstreetmap.org/search?q=flood ), with
https://taginfo.openstreetmap.org/tags/flood_prone=yes being the most
common.

However in the UK and I'm sure in lots of other places there is a
network of monitoring stations on rivers, such as here:
https://www.openstreetmap.org/node/8373389773 .  There are lots of them:

https://flood-warning-information.service.gov.uk/river-and-sea-levels?location=york

It's possible to estimate when a particular location on a river will be
flooded based on the downstream (and to a lesser extent upstream)
monitoring station level.  Has anyone considered linking these together
in any way?  So far I've added a note on e.g.
https://www.openstreetmap.org/way/37535250 to say "When
https://www.openstreetmap.org/node/8373389773 says 2.7m, flooded here",
but some more formal way of saying that would make sense. I can happily
invent something, but don't want to do that if an existing tagging
already exists.

Best Regards,

Andy
