Searching Nominatim for "wilder beach natural preserve" [1] does provide examples of "decent" tagging and rendering (if I say so myself, even as it isn't perfect, today, and/or undergoes minor improvement / better tagging in the future): the enclosed polygon has a dark green border in Carto, the area is not "all blank / white" as rendered, as there are several land cover areas (natural=*): beach, swamp, water, wood, scrub, even cliff. The human area, "humans must stay on path" (well, the signs don't quite say that, but that's what they mean) only makes the slightest incursion from the path into the Preserve, with a comfortable bench (it is) and a viewpoint (spectacular!) of the beach, ocean and bay before you. Should there be mountain bikers on CycleNet 22LM (a looped mountain bike route, tagged roundtrip=yes), they'll be behind you as you sit on this amenity=bench and take in the view. Maybe not discernible from THIS map, so I'll simply type it here: don't get too close to that cliff, it's a doozy.

See, it's all (protected area inside of a state park, several varied landcovers, a path, a bike route, a bench, a viewpoint, the way the creek is intermittent, but isn't after the pool next to the beach, where you cross the railroad tracks to get back to your car at the parking lot next to the Coast road and the highway...) right there on the map. And if it isn't, we can add it.
