That is the block, ok. No detour signs, I guess, so on the road you don't
know how continue. Now you see the route continued on your paper or device,
and you see the position of the next sign on your device. How does knowing
the next sign position help you better than knowing the route trajectory?

And a note.

Personally, if I'm sure a simple marker is wrong, I remove it (most often
it's a worn sticker, in my area). If it's paint on a bark or rock, I don't
bother. If it's a shield, I send a notification to the operator. If it's
especially wrong and wrong-foots "my hikers", I do not hesitate to wield
the permanent marker pen.
