I don't understand. Assume a map or board is labelled "Sion": Sion
isn't the name of the map (or board respectively), but the name of the
village. (By the way, maps are usually tagged information=map, not
information=board + board_type=map)

Yes, the wiki documents the most common tagging for titles. However,
this use of "name" is in conflict with its definition (see
https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Key:name) and also causes (minor)
difficulties to data users.
