I have been tagging a lot of shops that are more or less webshops.
A few days ago I was driving to a store:
https://www.openstreetmap.org/node/7464817114
only to find a hallway with empty offices.
Maybe having a domainname as the name should have warned me.
But I believe that we should agree on how to tag webshops
The challenge is that there is a grey area between webshops and traditional shops.
There a are:
* shops that is just some individual, e.g., a blogger having a website that is just a
front for some platform selling products. There is no physical shop, no inventory
etc. I would tag that as office=company
* Shops that only sell online, but have their own warehouse or production facilities.
Some allow customers to come to the site for returns or repairs.
I would tag that as office=logistics
* shops where you have to order online but that do give the customers to make an
appointment to pick up their order to save shipping costs. A lot of wine stores fall
into this category.
I have tagged those as shop=*,opening_hours="by appointment for pickup"
* Shops that are mainly webshops but allows customers to make an appointment to come
by. Typically one-person farm shops, confectionary, etc.
I tag this as shop=*, opening_hours="by appointment"
I have also used a webshop tag to indicate that a shop is a webshop.
