Awesome, Sebastian! Yeah, like that. It's like there is a whole new branch of mathematics that seems like it is being invented, and "we already know math."
In brief, what is it about the existing regime (in Germany) that requires "another" method of doing things?
If it is a necessary realignment of existing data (as Sebastian either suggests or outright states), then do that. I (personally) find 'basic_network' either obfuscation (I'm not saying deliberate, though that's possible) or sweeping the necessary data / route relation cleanup (no matter how daunting or "overdue") under the rug with what looks like a "syntax wrapper" like this.
I do keep an open mind, and see an awesome team driving the ball downfield towards the goal. I cheer.
Really "the best possible outcome" seems an easy to moderate clean up of existing data so it fits into a framework of "we do it like this around here" (where that might be "Europe" as it is understood in context). It's like people are meeting each other and shaking hands. It heads towards "shot on goal." Go!
A framework meets some completed tasks. They meet, they get married, happy forever. It's all so beautiful so far.
