A ":part" suffix would indeed also help for other parts with different
properties, e.g. named parts of woods or lakes. However, hospitals can
be subdivided in different ways, not only in departments, e.g. in
wards / examination rooms / operating rooms / laboratory etc. Because
of this i would rather use a specific subdivision suffix, e.g.
":department" (i.e. hospital:department=gastroenterology).
