[Tagging] Deprecation of crop=corn

Hello,

I've noticed that the wiki page for crop=corn[1] marks the tag as
deprecated, with the suggested replacement as crop=maize. On review, it
appears that the actual status of this tag is "in use", when considering:

1. crop=corn has the preponderance of usage (17,970 usages vs 166)
2. Editor presets for both JOSM and iD use crop=corn
3. There are no links to discussions or proposals that suggests consensus
for a deprecation

However, I do want to acknowledge significant issues with crop=corn,
notably:

1. The term "corn" has an ambiguous meaning[2] across English-speaking
countries. In North America and Australia it is a term for a specific
crop, while in other English-speaking locations it is apparently a more
general term for any cereal grain.
2. The tagging of the crop tag at all is controversial, since crops are
temporary and usually rotated, with the exception of permanent plantings
such as vineyards and orchards. However, there are separate tags already
for vineyards and orchards.

Are there past discussions I may not be aware of that indicate a community
consensus for this deprecation? If yes, the page should be updated to
reference them. If not, the page should get changed to indicate reality -
the tag is certainly "in use" in the absence of community consensus
otherwise.
