I like option E. For the motivated user there might (unfortunately) be one
additional use: the uploader of the images discovers that Mapillary has
lost/deleted a whole sequence, retrieves the images from the personal
backup, reupload them to Mapillary, correct the OSM tags with the newly
uploaded image keys.
