[Tagging] meaning of office=physician

It does.

The only thing I can think is that =clinic refers to the building / group
of rooms, while =office relates to the Doctors room that he takes you into
to talk to you?

Similarly, it would work in a hospital setting to say that while Dr xxx is
a surgeon who operates in theatre, this is their private office.
