A comment on deprecating tags, this is amenity=embassy which got deprecated
through voting

it can work out, but it is rare, and usually it is about tags with low
usage, only one case comes to mind where a widely used tag became
deprecated http://taghistory.raifer.tech/#***/landuse/farm
