the tomb key is for describing tombs, a tombstone is not a tomb, that’s why you shouldn’t use the tag.
Everybody can write a Josm-Plugin and suggest any kind of tags, being present in a plug-in preset is not an endorsement for a tag.
Everybody can also write everything in the wiki, but there are probably more eyes on it, and people will revert obvious nonsense hopefully quickly.
