[Tagging] dog=yes for drinking water

I just noticed that the amenity=drinking_water page mentions the tag
dog=yes
and suggests the meaning "suitable for dogs to drink there"
https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Tag:amenity%3Ddrinking_water
but the tag dog=yes can also mean legally a dog (as in "dogs may legally
drink here")
https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Key:dog
This combination of amenity=drinking_water and dog=yes is not terrible
often used for the moment (not visible in taginfo as frequent combination).
What do you think, shall the recommendation for dog=yes on drinking_water
objects be removed? Maybe in favor of something more descriptive and
generic, like "bowl=yes" or "trough=yes"?
Admittedly, usage of "trough" is tiny
https://taginfo.openstreetmap.org/keys/trough
but IMHO it would be a better way to tag this because it describes a
physical property ("has a trough").
Cheers,
Martin
