[Tagging] Is entrance=main reserved for public buildings?

Is it really not OK to use it on factories, apartment buildings, clubs etc?

Is it outright wrong to use it instead entrance=staircase on apartment building?

Note that https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Key:entrance is missing such restriction
