Cluster mailboxes are also common in the U.S. at both residential and 
commercial sites. [1] They're identical to that photo above in both form 
and function. [2] Only the ones owned by USPS would have a logo, but 
privately owned clusters are served exactly the same. A passer-by can 
drop letters in the "Outgoing Mail" slot if they want; it'll get 
delivered, but this capability isn't widely advertised because it's 
usually only convenient for those who receive mail at the cluster.

I've been tagging cluster mailboxes as amenity=letter_box, using the 
semicolon-delimited list in post:housenumber=* or post:unit=* to 
indicate that there are many slots. [3] However, I haven't given any 
thought to the outgoing mail slot, or to the numbered lockers for 
incoming parcels. If it's important enough to indicate all these 
functions of the box, then I guess there could be multiple coincident 
nodes with layer=* corresponding to the slots' relative vertical positions.
