this is assuming that all boundaries are defined through coordinates, but when they are defined through features (textual descriptions) it would be better to have this connection in OpenStreetMap as well. E.g. a nature reserve begins on the right side of a river, when we refine the river geometry we would want the boundary to follow suit.
