There's a thread somewhere (in the lead up to defining the IMHO 
perfectly fine current tagging), that goes in to the details of why 
using a generic term for the products avoids cultural sensitivities 
outside of western Europe. That said the main issue with tagging these 
is that they haven't been mapped at all, and I don't see why changing 
the tagging will improve anything in that respect.
