It doesn't shifted, it looks "blown up". You see it better like this:
http://taginfo.openstreetmap.fr/keys/highway?filter=nodes#map
North of france moved north-east, but Brittany moved north-west and Corse
moved east.

Maybe it has something to do with the image size ration not beeing the same.

But your resulting image is square.

Although this should not lead to the corners beeing in the wrong position.
