I don't think it's related to the map resolution -- I'm talking about the
background map, not the overlay-generated-one.
The original background image was this:

  http://taginfo.hanskalabs.net/img/mapbg/world.png.orig

It got cut off at approximately half height, the <div id="map"> had a
style="height: Npx" which made the grey box cut the image. Dropping that
style="" fixed it. But, well, I couldn't drop style="" only for the map div in
the code.

Anyway, don't worry too much about it, I didn't like the blurred overlay
image anyhow :)
