Tanks alberto for the forward. I've read a bit the talk-it list (but my 
italian is not very good) and yes, the question was asked because we didn't 
want to come into conflict with ongoing import work about same features (We 
don't know if similar corine data is freely available in italy)

The question was also raised because you could disagree with our way of 
tagging from corine codes to osm tags.

Also import is in alpha stage where we need testing, and will probably last a 
few weeks. So that question serves also as a warning : "don't panic if you 
see tons of forest appearing, and you know where to ask questions"

So we are still moving towards final import...
