OpenStreetMap Austria hat beantragt, ein offizielles Local Chapter der OpenStreetMap Foundation für Österreich zu werden. Im Rahmen des Bewerbungsverfahrens möchten wir Sie, die betroffenen OSM(F)-Mitglieder, dazu befragen. Unterstützst Du diesen Antrag? Hast Du irgendwelche Fragen, Kommentare oder Bedenken?

FOSSGIS ist ein OSMF Local Chapter für Deutschland, aber FOSSGIS ist ein OSGeo Local Chapter für den "deutschsprachigen Raum" (der Deutschland, Österreich und (Teile der) Schweiz umfasst). Die Schweizer OpenStreetMap Association ist ein OSMF Local Chapter für die Schweiz. Ich habe FOSSGIS kontaktiert und sie sind mit OpenStreetMap Austria als OSMF Local Chapter zufrieden.

Wir werden diese Diskussionsrunde in frühestens 2 Wochen abschließen.

You may be aware that OpenStreetMap Austria has applied to become an official Local Chapter of the OpenStreetMap Foundation for Austria. As part of the application process, we would like to ask you, the affected OSM(F) membership, about this. Do you support this application? Do you have any questions, comments or concerns?

Are you an OSMer in Austria? How do you feel about OpenStreetMap Austria? Do you think they are an organisation which represents you? Would you be unhappy if they were the OSMF Local Chapter?

You may notice that FOSSGIS is an OSMF Local Chapter for Germany, but FOSSGIS is an OSGeo Local Chapter for the “german speaking region” (which includes Germany & Austria & (parts of) Switzerland). The Swiss OpenStreetMap Association is an OSMF Local Chapter for Switzerland. I've contacted FOSSGIS and they are happy with OpenStreetMap Austria as an OSMF Local Chapter.

We will close this round of discussion in at least 2 weeks.
