Hi Guys,

After discussion on the osm-talk list, it seems that the ref:au is not the way to go, we should just use the standard ref tag.

The codes stay the same, that is the important thing. The letters after the '=' sign will basically select the correct symbol to use.

In the meantime, the full text of the reference will display.

 ref=NR1 Highway 1 - (black on white shield)
 ref=NH31 National Highway - (yellow on green shield)
 ref=MR2 Metroad (blue on white hexagon)
 ref=S151 State Route (white on blue shield)
 ref=T5 Tourist Route (white on brown Pentagon)
 ref=A1 A Roads in states that have them (yellow on green rectangle)
 ref=B2 B Roads in states that have them (yellow on green rectangle)
 ref=C3 C Roads in states that have them (yellow on green rectangle)
 ref=M4      Motorways(yellow on green rectangle)

Wiki updated.

Cheers,
Brent.
