[talk-au] API 0.5 gpx upload

Hi all, 

Has anyone managed to upload gpx traces using the 0.5 API?
I've got 2.8m track points in 450+ files to upload, but am getting response 
code 500 no matter what I post via /api/0.5/gpx/create :( 

The authorization is working ok because I can get a 401/Unauthorized by not 
sending the auth header. 

I'm sending public=1, tags=Australia, description=[text string], file=[gpx 
data] 

Is this api function still a work in progress, or is it my code?
