The N900 supports GSM 850/900/1800/1900 and WCDMA 900/1700/2100 so it
supports all Australian networks except 850MHz NextG. WCDMA 850/1900
is what's used by AT&T and all Canadian 3G networks, so it looks like
they didn't alter it for the North American market.
