The wiki has a plugin to do dynamic maps, you do this:

<slippymap lat="-33.8626" lon="151.209" z="14" w="700" h="500"
format="jpeg" layer="mapnik"/>

The downside to dynamic over static maps, especially for wide area
shots if they take a lot longer to load compared to a simple static
image and the city wide map should rarely change.
