I saw these several hundred metre offsets on some Qld islands, when
adding the National Parks, they gave me pause because I thought I may
have made an error in projection or similar.

I left them as is when uploading the NP's because I thought:

1) They could be correct (national parks into water; recently saw this
in Sweden - here for example: http://osm.org/go/0ZvrKT1 )
2) conflicting source input datasets/authorities - protected areas
dataset from QLD govt and ABS from federal Govt - can't say which is
correct
4) a survey would be impractical, and wouldn't resolve it because NP
and ABS are political not geographic boundaries
5) Better to have the data than not

Cheers,
Chris
