[talk-au] Mapping things that no longer exist

Hi all,
I've got a question regarding mapping objects that there is no longer any
trace of.

In this case, i'm referring to a section of rail line, showing on the map
tagged as abandoned.
That in itself isn't a problem, if the track bed was still there i would say
that it was absolutely correct.

In this case however, the the rail line was removed almost 30 years ago and
today it's completely built over with no trace of this section of track
anywhere.
The section in question is:

I guess i'm asking, do we map objects only as they are on the ground today,
or is it ok to include things in the data that no longer exist but once did?

Leon
