I recall they Strava heat map, have they fixed the resolution issue?

Yes, you can still view the high res data but it’s a bit of a fiddle to set it up. See instructions in this web page. These work fine for me but i find I have to repeat the process every month or so.

This thread will undoubtedly trigger yet another copyright warning about using Strava heat map data in OSM, so I’ll emphasise that it’s a useful tool to align imagery without advising anyone to use it to map from. Cheers.
