[talk-au] Tagging WebSite Links (like wikipedia, wikidata)

Hi All,

At the NHVR, we are collecting a lot of information about the
road/transport network that doesn't belong in OSM (just like the info on
wikipedia and wikidata) does not either. Typically, these are way's but
there are many other examples that are likely to be a reality in time.

Given that we only have information relevant certain ways, we would like to
tag these specific ways to indicate that we have extra information about
them.

I am completely open to suggestions at this point, but based on:

https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Key:website
or possibly
https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Key:url

I am thinking that something like...

website:nhvr=https://maps.nhvr.gov.au/somethinggoeshere/abc123

Could be used to link the way(s) that are relevant to the information we
have about them.

Please let me know what you think.

Cheers,
Andrew
