[talk-au] Tagging Foot Bridges on Existing Trails/Tracks

To add the bridge, the way will need to be split at both ends of the bridge, and the appropriate bridge tags added to the bridge (bridge=yes (or bridge=boardwalk), and usually layer=1). There’s no way to add the bridge without splitting the way. See this example: https://www.openstreetmap.org/way/1347517115 . Hope that helps.
