[OSM-talk-be] historische kaarten als basis??

For the administrative borders - wherever you find them - they all seem
to origin from NGI (Nationaal Geografisch Instituut) that is a
'parastatale' depending from the defence ministry. 

Someone that knows De Crem???

'normal' terms of use at NGI:

De klant die reeds de digitale NGI-kaarten aangekocht heeft, kan deze
gebruiken mits het betalen van een bijkomende jaarlijkse
internetlicentie en mits het plaatsen van het NGI-logo op zijn website.
Het gebruikte kaartmateriaal mag enkel informatief gebruikt worden.
De licentiebedragen slaan enkel op de licentie voor het gebruik op het
internet en behelzen niet de aankoop van de kaarten of gegevens.

Bij gratis gebruik
De klant mag maximaal één kaartuittreksel gebruiken.
Dat kaartuittreksel mag één enkele maal gebruikt worden in de website

De administratieve kaart mag gratis op internet geplaatst worden.

So for the administrative part their rules already seem quite flexible.
If asked to the right person in the right words it might be possible...



For streetcodes and streetname lists, the full list is at
'rijksregister' that depends of ministry of interior. (De Wael)

Migt be usefull for a 'street to comunity' translation, or for a check
what streets are misspelled or missing.
