Hera,

> Where do plan to edit OSM map ? In a cafe ? Should I understand a
smooking room ? ( sorry )

The plan is to do the editing on the café, yes. If I understand the new
smoking regulations correctly, smoking wouldn't be allowed there.

Quite far and not everybody will be able to take the bus for free over
there.

> - Telenet hotspot ( I have send a mail to Telenet )

This is a possibility which I considered too (I proposed to go to the Lunch
Garden), but we'd probably have to pay for internet.

> - Gps logging the 9th or the 10th of Feb and make the map later in Leuven,
maybe I can arrange a meeting room there

Possible too, but not everybody who will be comming to the mapping party is
from Leuven. I know of at least one person from (the suroundings of)
Antwerp.

Polyglot,

> Who would bring a portable?

I'll be bringing mine.

> How long do we 'hit the streets'?

As a basic rule of thumb, logging to mapmaking is about 50/50 to 40/60.

> Does anybody have suggestions for a time table?

My suggestion would be the following (basically the same as yours):
10h45: Gather at Keizer Karel, get to know each other and divide Mechelen
11h15?: First mapping round
13h00-13h30: Gather again for lunch + process tracklogs/notes
??h??: Second mapping round if time allows and everything isn't mapped yet.
This data can be processed at home.

With this schedule, we should get a solid 2+h of tracklaying. I hope that
with 5 people this is enough to Mechelen "intra muros" (I assume this
matched the ringroad?).

Regards,
Gyrbo
