I also agree with the proposal, but I also want to stress that the
budget should include promotional material and maybe include bus/train
fares for people for whom this would present a problem to attend a
mapping party. I think we should start with buying, say 5 GPS devices. 2
Of them already have people who would start using them to go mapping.
The others can be used for the same purpose, so more or less permanent
lend outs, except when a mapping party is going on, then they should be
gathered again and be lend out for the day/weekend. Prices continue to
drop, that's why I would buy 5 to start with and then buy 5 more later,
when the movement expands.
