Hallo Chris,

The best way to make sure a mapping party takes place is to simply
organise it. Announce it a few weeks in advance and people will show up.
Especially in a place like Turnhout where Toi lives relatively nearby.
For Eimai it's a bus ride of 1 hour. For me and others from Leuven it's
a bus ride of 1,5 hour (bus line 305, running every hour also during the
weekend).

Simply announce it on the wiki:

You can simply hijack the text for the mapping party in Diest, which
didn't take place, mainly because I never managed to find time to go to
Diest to find a place where we could have it. What is needed is a place
with some internet connection and seats where we can get together around
10 in the morning and around 13h, 13h30 to eat and enter data. If you
also look for a place where we can camp, I might even consider coming
over for 2 days. In that case we will also need accomodation to sit in
the evening. If there is no wireless connection this is not a problem,
we can bring our own wireless access point/router. We simply need an
Ethernet connection where we can plug it in. The place should serve food
an preferably have a small room where we can sit separately from the
other customers. Oh and it should also not charge for anything beside
the food and the drinks we consume.

I have already been busy in Turnhout a bit and unfortunately for Eimai I
already took care of a few cycle nodes :-). I agree there is still a lot
of work to do, but I was simply passing through, getting off the bus and
on to my destination across the border in Esbeek. That's how all those
cycle nodes started appearing north of Turnhout in the last 2,5 months.

I hope you make it happen and I'm sure Toi will lend you a hand if it's
needed. He is relatively nearby. And you can always ask for guidance on
this list, of course
