Hi,
For some time now I use
http://www.gpsshop.be/product/64337/qstarz-bt-q818x-bluetooth-gps-receiver.html
Price at gpsshop is currently 76 euro.
It can be used by connecting it over USB, or over bluetooth.
The software with the device is windows only - and is quite good - but I am
using it mostly on mac with free software called BT747 that works perfectly.
Similar or the same software must work with linux, but didn't try that out
yet.
You can use it as external gps device for your computer, but it works as
well as GPS tracker. Usefull for geotagging pictures or to make tracks for
using in OSM.
Having my settings at 1 trackpoint every second I can log over 24 hours with
it! Power autonomy is at least of similar time (I never ran out of power,
even with a 20 hours log from Italy home over Germany with the car-train)
