Frankly speaking, I don't think that is a good idea. Mainly because
the Brussels region is probably the best mapped region of Belgium
(along with Antwerp). I just compared the OSM map with a recent (2009)
orienteering map and most of the paths seem to be there in OSM. So I
don't know what you would like to add? Of course you can always add
more details, names and POIs but you can't turn all of Belgium into an
orienteering map. According to me the best is to opt for a white spot,
where the effect of a mapping party is the most spectacular. As we did
in Deinze.

Honestly, I hope that scientists that need decent data about the
forest will use other sources. OSM really lacks the metadata for that.
There are many better potential users of OSM data.
