Hi all,
Last week I volentarily attended an interesting preliminary meeting in
Leuven at the Interdisciplinary Centre for Law and ICT (ICRI) in Leuven
(Mark VdBorre, thanks for getting the initial networking done for OSM!).
Check at what the ICRI does at the following link
http://www.law.kuleuven.be/icri/research.php
The idea is to to get funding to research around the subject of
volunteered geographic information and crowd sourcing. Certainly something
where OpenStreetMap as a group fits in to a reasonable extent. The minutes
(in dutch) of the meeting are available at http://bit.ly/fjhII5
Please bear in mind that this proposal is supposed to be finished by the
end of this month. It is not meant to be diseminated widely over the net.
Nevertheless I would be pleased to get OSM-inclined feedback from those
interested in this kind of stuff to help and tune the proposal so that it
suits the needs and wants of OSM community better. Vow your concerns and
point out possible ommisions, suggest or rephrase a target, anything you
can contribute is welcome at this stage.
Kind regards,
Ivo
