It does. A trademark is registered for a specific area of use.

No, it wouldn't be. It would be a copyright violation, since the logo
is definitely a creative work. Two companies can have the same name.
The most famous example is Apple.
But you could use the name Ford to sell potting soil (assuming it is
only a car company now) and create your own logo.
