Hello,

Just an idea : would it be an opportunity to propose them to join a
mapping party, and to see some demonstrations and take part to a
meeting ?

In the long run, it could be their advantage, and the OSM community
can help show them, to use the OSM maps, contribute (for example
showing publically to the public that he can help make OSM better in
his neigborhood and use the map on his own GPS)
