I'll understand that you don't impose those rules, don't take it
personally, Ben.

I propose to change our procedure a bit. Let people first update/add the
buildings and make other changes with their regular account and then add
the housenumbers with the import account.
In this way, we can keep all the buildings even when the DWG wants to roll
back the "import".

Hope they (DWG) will understand that I will forget to switch accounts in
99% of the cases, ending up with walking networks done under the import
account and housenumbers under the regular account :-)

p.s. when you have a gmail account joe.doe at gmail.com you can also use
joe.doe+crab at gmail.com without making other changes
