Not sure what you are cracking down (or not ), perhaps you missed the 
bit where I said I was in sinner mode (= looking at the surface, the 
result of the map instead of the source).

You made me laugh too (sorry ...) by stating the number 1 OSM 
application being GPS routing.   Good luck on that as the routers I've 
tested like doing crazy things like taking on-off ramps on highways 
instead of simply staying on that highway.   Unless I put turn 
restrictions in the data.

If there is a router you think rocks, I haven't tested it yet, so please 
let me know which one it is.  I'm very curious.
