Hi,
I've been using the Flemish orthofoto "werkbestand" by default over the
past few months.
This is the imagery that is updated the soonest after new imagery is shot,
but the metadata says the quality can be lower. I believe concern about the
quality is why it hasn't been added to the imagery repositories used by iD
and JOSM.
I have however not had a single data quality issue myself, and having more
recent imagery is always nice.
*Has anyone had issues with this dataset or recommend against adding it? If
not, I'll try to get the imagery added to the repositories as "just another
layer" (as opposed to "the best option for the area").*
You can view the imagery here:
http://geo-explore.ecs.soton.ac.uk/?view=wms&endpoint=https://geoservices.informatievlaanderen.be/raadpleegdiensten/ofw/wms&layer=OFW#9/50.9671/4.6555
It can be manually added in iD:
https://geoservices.informatievlaanderen.be/raadpleegdiensten/ofw/wms?FORMAT=image/png&TRANSPARENT=TRUE&VERSION=1.1.1&SERVICE=WMS&REQUEST=GetMap&LAYERS=OFW&STYLES=&SRS=EPSG:3857&WIDTH={width}&HEIGHT={height}&BBOX={bbox}
And in JOSM:
wms:
https://geoservices.informatievlaanderen.be/raadpleegdiensten/ofw/wms?FORMAT=image/png&TRANSPARENT=TRUE&VERSION=1.1.1&SERVICE=WMS&REQUEST=GetMap&LAYERS=OFW&STYLES=&SRS={proj}&WIDTH={width}&HEIGHT={height}&BBOX={bbox}
This metadata item has a little (but not much) background. There's also a
layer available with the date of the flight.
