Hi all,Just wondering if anyone has contacted GeoBase to get an update if
they are willing to let us have the data?
Perhaps explaining that it wont cost them any $ todo this? .. all we need
is the written word... we can post the email from them, and were golden.

Anyway, I've gotten back to the idea that i want to create an Ibycus topo
mapset for perhaps just BC, so then its a smaller download. ... and I know
that there's issue with it, so i try to explain on the talk wiki page.
http://wiki.openstreetmap.org/index.php/Talk:Ibycus_Topo

Because of this free aspect, i want to make the SRTM topo only map of
canada... but again, start with small... i think i know how.. just need to
put the pieces together. (if anyone wants to help, let me know) :)

And looking at the OSM cyclemap it might be possible to use screen
shots(with a large screen PC) and save it as a JPG, and then add some text
and graphics, and save it as a PDF... OpenOffice is smart like that :) I'll
use Google Doc's and save each page as a open document, so then anyone can
go in there and edit it... they can re take the screen-shot by clicking on a
weblink on that page (so the grid stays the same) and then just adding in
there, the zoom-in shots of the local towns/parks that need to be shown.

Anyway, its all in my head in detail, just not on the written word it (so
forgive me) :)

Look forward to hearing from you, and any update.
As well as ideas anyone might have..

Cheers,
Happy Trails
